The aircraft was shipped to New Zealand for rebuild to flying condition by Avspecs at Ardmore . It made its ‘first' flight on 19Mar10 and is painted as G-ADDD . Subsequently shipped to Virginia Beach in time to participate in this year's EAA Airshow at Oshkosh .

The YS-11 was withdrawn from Japan Coast Guard service at the end of 2009: JA8782 (c/n 2167) was formally retired at Sapporo-Chitose on 18Dec09 and both it and JA8702 (2175) were canx 02Mar10. JA8780 (2164) and JA8791 (2177) were canx in Nov09 as sold in Philippines , but were seen stored at Shimofusa in Apr10. The fifth YS-11 is JA8701 (2093), which departed Tokyo-Haneda 12Jun10.
Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer
Two ex-Indonesian AF Twin Pins have been discovered at the abandoned airfield of Rumpin, near Jakarta . Indonesia received three of the type from the Royal Malaysian AF: c/ns 581, 584 and 588. Indonesian serials have not been reported and those at Rumpin are too faded to be identified.
